Merry Christmas everyone

Merry Christmas everyone
with the love of my life, George

What am I doing writing a blog?

Quilting is one of the few places in my life where all the corners meet and stay put. On this blog I plan to ruminate about quilting and life, the quilted life, cat and quilts, and any old thing that falls in and out of my brain. I'd be pleased to hear from you on all of this or any topic of interest!

Like fine wine, we are going to let this one rest for awhile....or is that cheese? Posted by Virginia "Ginnie" Leiner on February 15, 2020 at 1:30pm View Blog Just finished the quilt top for the "Fox in the Christmas Hen House" and I am pretty darn pleased with it. Turned out to be bigger than I originally planned (it's approximately 80 x 94 inches) but I always believe the quilt decide what size it will be, not me. The back will be the same chicken print as the fussy cut chickens in the final border. I do not have enough for the entire back so I am waiting for inspiration to strike on what creative way I can solve that challenge. Plus I have to get another much smaller quilt done by May for my California grandkids' school auction and I need to get started on that one. So Hen House will rest for awhile. I thought about renaming it "71 chickens" which is the count on that fussy cut border. Now comes the fun part. I have to go to my sewing room and clean up a bit before I start the next one. Not the fun part. I was lying. Quilt on! Ginnie
